Goodbyes, Hellos and Hangovers
Tom Artrocker waves an Artrocker off this week and has woken up with with a hangover - now he's paying the price
Artrockers,
It's rare that I suffer from hangovers. Largely because I don't drink. Well, that is to say I drink very rarely, an occasional glass of red on a Saturday night is my limit and even then I only have a tipple in the sure and certain knowledge that tomorrow is Sunday and that I can recover to the sound of the latest round of the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship) on ITV4 (F1 can kiss mine, BTCC is where the action is, if Jason Plato's car makes the grid you know there'll be fireworks).
Last night I broke my rule and had two mid week pints of shandy. Now I'm paying the price.
But sometimes you just have to go nuts, and last night was just such an occasion. You see our good friend and colleague of some years Ric Rawlins is leaving Artrocket to plough a new furrow at Future Publishing. Ric has been a loyal Artrocker and an incredibly hard worker, we'll miss him bad. Thanks Ric.
And welcome our new reviews editor and webmaster Nick Burmam (.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)) who has big shoes to fill, but rest assured, Nick has the feet to fill them.
TO ALL YOU NEW BANDS OUT THERE: this Sunday the 1st is the deadline to enter our
NEW BLOOD UNSIGNED BAND COMPETITION, so head over to our New Blood comp where you can win a slot at 1234 Festival, A recording session, Play on Artrocker Radio, Olympus and Original Penguin goodies and more!
Do it, do it NOW!
I need more coffee.
Tom Artrocker
