You’re Either On The Bus Or…
Tom Artrocker manages to drive through London in a few brisk minutes. But how?!
Artrockers,
Just driven back from the City where we were conducting a photo-shoot with David Ginola. Yes, I did say David Ginola, but more of that at a later date. We flew through the city, normally a nightmare, crossed London Bridge and zoomed down Borough High Street.
Something was wrong, where was all the traffic? A journey that usually takes an hour was achieved in 20 minutes. We thought it spooky, where had all the traffic gone? And then the penny dropped, there were no buses. And there was no congestion. Conclusion: it's the buses that cause the congestion.
So London's congestion problem is sorted, just ban the buses. I've been saying it for years, too may empty buses clogging the place up outside of rush hour. Now, if only the pesky bike riders would go on strike we motorists could have our roads back.
What a dream, the nightmare is about to arrive in the form of the olympics, and I won't be driving in London at all. But for now I'm off for a drive, and to savour the day.
