ARTROCKER TV Premiere / Lupen Crook - Treasons To Be Beautiful
We've got the first look at the brand new, hand made, Lupen Crook video!
Visual artist and maverick songwriter Lupen Crook releases 'Treasons To Be Beautiful' on the 22nd October - the first single from his forthcoming album, 'British Folk Tales'.
Accompanied by a striking DIY animation, Treasons To Be Beautiful marks a return for Lupen Crook - a sonic and visual treat from this underground artist.
Released on digital download on October 22, backed by 2 previously unreleased tracks - 'Diamonds In The Backyard', and a live acoustic rendition of The Waterboys classic 'Whole Of The Moon'.
And here's some words from the man himself on the stills...

“...the idea was already present in the song itself - a visual narration of the lyrics. Aside from that, no plan. I don’t like plans, that can kill the spirit of an idea. I try to avoid over-thinking. Expectation is a negative...”

...the whole thing took 5 days. Day and night. Drawing, sketching, using felt tip pens, paint, and a pack of Biro’s. Simple materials. Nothing clever. I’ve poked a bit of fun, and pointed fingers where I feel they need pointing...

...I regard the doing of something more important than actual result. I made this because I wanted to. I try as tried ... do the best with what you’ve got to hand - that’s my mantra."
