JD Presents…The Shortwave Set & The Pipettes/ Love Action

An unlikely music collaboration has just taken place in London’s east end: electronic trio The Shortwave Set hit the studio with the mademoiselles of polka dot pop The Pipettes to create a brilliant new version of The Human League’s 80’s hit record 'Love Action'.

The Pipettes say, “We usually do a hell of a lot of dancing and jumping around as The Pipettes so to sing backing vocals for the Shortwave Set, and as gently as we could, was a pleasant change!”

They are in rehearsal for an exclusive JD set gig that’s going to deliver a brand new take of 'Dare' - one the most influential albums in pop history. On Wednesday 5 May at Dingwalls in Camden both The Shortwave Set and Pipettes will be joined by Shy Child, Infadels and Wall of Sound’s latest signing Kids On Bridges. All will create exciting new collaborations and reinterpretations of Human League anthems including 'Dont You Want Me?' and 'Together In Electric Dreams'
